Mr. Malik graduated with Honours in the Bachelor of laws, from the University of London (external system) in the year 1990. He has also completed his Master of Laws, specializing in corporate and commercial law. He is a student member of the Middle Temple, Inns of Court, where he attended the dinners as part of his course for the Bar. He completed the post graduate certificate and Diploma exams with the University of London attaining a merit in both the exams. He completed the exams for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and is a member of the Institute. He has also completed pedagogy training through the Specialist Diploma in Learning and Teaching by Republic poly.
Mr. Malik brings with him 23 years of corporate and commercial experience, in the Airline logistics and customer servicing industry. He has performed customer servicing, logistics and management functions in the Airport Ground Handling and Airline Industry from 1978 – 2003, contributing to the early years of the growth of the airline and airport handling industry in Singapore.
Lecturing and Seminar Facilitating Experience
Mr. Malik is currently the Head of the UOL Law programmes at SAA Global Education and has previously served as an Academic Board member. He has over 10 years of experience leading the law departments and teaching law subjects in various Singapore PEIs (Private Education Institutions) for programmes offered by both UK and Australian Universities. In particular, he has taught for the University of London law degree, and has specialised in the corporate and commercial law subjects, such as contract law, Common law reasoning, Company law, commercial law, Tort and European Union Law. He also has expert experience in the teaching of the Business law subjects in the Monash College and Deakin University programmes. He was also the examiner/marker for the Business law papers for the Monash College programmes in Singapore. He is conversant in leading and conducting seminars in Corporate and Commercial law. He has conducted seminars with Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) on company law setting up business organizations. He is equally conversant in Islamic Shariah law.
He has helped to achieve high passing rates for the ACCA F4J classes at SAA-GE. Achieved a passing rate of 68% (While Singapore’s passing rate was 43%) for the Dec 2011 exams and 54% for the Jan 2012 exams (38% Singapore).
